ORDINANCE NO. 87-86 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling, <br />Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher,Graham <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Director of Public <br />Works to advertise for bids and to enter into a contract'with the <br />lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law for the <br />construction of a new roadway, sidewalks, curbs, landscaping, <br />driveways, and appurtenances for the Clifton Prado project in the City <br />of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, Council has au~h. orized the purchase of private <br />property to assemble ~he land necessary for the new street right-of- <br />way, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council has authorized the Director of Public Works <br />to cause a dedication plat to be filed for record in order to provide <br />for the construction of a new public roadway for the Clifton Prado <br />project, and has accepted and confirmed such dedication, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the <br />immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare; now, <br />therefore <br /> <br />OF 0HI0: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED By THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEW00D, STATE <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids and to enter into <br />a contract with the lowest and best'bidder after advertisement <br />according to law for ~he construction of a new roadway, sidewalks, <br />curbing, landBcaping, driveways, and appurtenances for the Clifton <br />Prado project in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the cost of such construction is estimated <br />at $199,000, which funds are to be made available from-the Community <br />Development Block Grant Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 3- It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the <br />public, in compliance with all legal requirements including Section <br />121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br /> emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />'provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br /> elected to Council, it shall <br /> upon its adoption and approval by <br /> effect and be in force after the <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved~ ~ ~, <br /> <br /> <br />
