ORDINANCE NO. 23-87 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN 5]~ERG~ ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor, for and on behalf of the <br />City of Lakewood to accept as a gift to the City of Lakewoodthe sum of $6,000 <br />frcmthe LakewoodCc~n~ission on Aging, Inc. <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood Conraission on Aging, Inc. has awarded a grant in <br />the amount of $6,000 to the Lakewood Department on Aging for the purpose of <br />expanding the kitchen aide position from a part-timeposition to a full-tin~ <br />position, and <br /> WHEREAS, such grant is to be used specifically to continue the salary <br />of a currently employed part-time kitchen aide making it a full-timeposition, <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br /> the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF I3kKE59DOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br /> to accept as a gift to the City of Lakewood frcmthe Lakewood Commission on <br /> Aging, Inc. the sum of $6,000 which funds are tobe used specifically by the <br /> City to expand the kitchen aide position from a part-time to a full-time position. <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br /> Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in <br /> an open meeting of this Council, andthat all such deliberations of this Council <br /> and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings <br /> open to the public, in ccmpliance with all legal requirements including Section <br /> 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br /> measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br /> the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br /> take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br /> Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br /> allowed by law. <br /> <br />A opted: <br /> <br /> <br />
