ORDIllZLN~ NO. 41-87 BY:Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMF/RG~ ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor for-and on behalf <br />of the City of Lakewoodto accept as a gift to the City of Lakewoodthe <br />sum of $900 frcm the Lakewood-RockyRiver Rotary Foundation. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood-RockyRiver Rotary Foundation has awarded <br />a grant in the amount of $900 to the City of Lakewood for the purpose of <br />supporting the Chore Service Program operated by the Office on Aging of <br />the City for the benefit of the senior coranunity, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health and welfare <br />and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ~D, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. Thatthe Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to accept as a gift to the City of Lakewood frcmthe Lakewood- <br />Rocky River Rotary Foundation the sum of $900, which funds are to be used <br />s~cifically bV the City for the purpose of supporting the Chore Service <br />Program operated by the Office on Aging for the benefi~ of the senior <br />con~nunity. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions <br />of this Council concerning and relating tothe passage of this ordinance <br />were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its cc~mittees that resulted <br />in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance <br />with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect <br />and be in force after the earliest period allowed by 1~ w/~--~ <br /> <br /> C~.F.
