The Claims Administrators may engage the services of such <br />investigators, claims adjusters, consultants, attorneys and <br />advisors as they both deem necessary to aid them in reviewing, <br />administering, settling or defending any claims arising out of the <br />aforesaid activities; provided, the hiring is first approved by <br />the Mayor on behalf of the City and the Superintendent on behalf <br />of the Board. If the Mayor and the Superintendent agree the cost <br />of such services may be paid in equal shares by the City and the <br />Board from the respective Self-Insurance Funds to be maintained by <br />each party as described in paragraph 3 below. <br /> <br /> 3. Self-Insurance Funds. Each party shall establish, <br />pursuant to R.C. Section 2744.08(A)(2)(a), a special fund in <br />connection with the establishment of the self-insurance program <br />for the Recreational Programs and Recreational Facilities (the <br />"Self-Insurance Funds"). Each party hereby deems a reserve of <br />funds in the amount of S~50,000 to be appropriate in each party's <br />Self-Insurance Fund. The parties further agree that the funding <br />of that reserve amount may be made by each party by (i) <br />appropriating the sum of $50,000 annually for five years to that <br />party's Self-Insurance Fund, commencing in 1987, (ii) issuing <br />general obligation bonds, or notes in anticipation thereof, <br />pursuant to R.C. Section 2744.081(c), to provide for funding all <br />or a portion of the reserve in the Self-Insurance Fund, or (iii) <br />any combination of (i) and (ii) above. The reserve amount in each <br />of the Self-Insurance Funds shall be invested by the respective <br />parties in accordance with the law and any investment earnings on <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
