Section 2. In the Division of Police, Department of Public <br />Safety, Grade 1 Patrolmen shall consist of Patrolmen who have <br />continuously served in the Division of Po]ice two (2) full years or <br />who, in the judgment of the Director of Public Safety, have acquired <br />equivalent training and acquired experience in the Division of Po]ice <br />in some other City. Grade 2 Patrolmen shall consist of Patrolmen who <br />have served continuously in the Division of Police for more than one <br />(1) year but less. than two (2) years. Grade 3 Patrolmen sha] 1 consist <br />of Patrol'men who have served in the Division of Police for less than <br />one (Il year. Provided, however, that there shall be no increase in <br />salary to any employee by reason of the said grouping until certified <br />by the Director of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the <br />public, in compliance with all legal requirements including Section <br />~21.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect <br />and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br />PRES I DENT <br /> <br /> <br />
