ORDINANCE NO. 21~88 <br /> BY: Brown~Chinnock~ Gal].a~her~ <br /> Gazz.ana~ George~ Graham~ Wend];ng <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor for and on <br /> behalf of the City of Lakewood to accept a grant to the City of <br /> Lakewood in the amount of $22,500 00 from the Governor,s Office of <br /> Criminal Justice Services-Children,s Trust Fund. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Governor,s office of Criminal Justice Services- <br /> Children,s Trust Fund, has approved and awarded to the Lakewood Youth <br /> Office of the City of Lakewood a grant in the amount of $22,500.00 for <br /> the purpose of providing an innovative and far reaching Child Abuse <br /> Prevention Program, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br /> providing for the i~ediate preserv '. <br /> ~welfare ~nd for the usual dail.-a~_~ the~public health, safety <br /> u~c, now, therefore, 3 ~rac~on or a municipal depart_~.. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br /> STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to accept a grant for the Youth Office of the City <br /> of Lakewood in the sum~of $22,500.00 from the Governor,s Office of <br /> Criminal Justice-Children,s Trust Fund for the purpose of providing <br /> a Child Abuse Prevention Program. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br /> actions of this Council concerning and ]relating to the passage of this <br /> ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br /> all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br /> that resulted in formal action., were in meetings open to the <br /> public. , <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative Vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise <br />it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed <br />by law. , <br /> <br />Adopted:_ <br /> <br /> <br />
