ORDINANCE NO. 37-88 <br /> <br />BY: Brown~ Chinnock, Gazzana, George, <br /> Graham, Wending <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to make additional appropriations for expendi- <br />tures of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year <br />ending December 31, 1988. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate <br />preservation ~of the public property, health and safety and to <br />provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That there be appropriated from Special Revenue Funds: <br /> <br />Comm. Development Block Grant Fund <br />Children's Trust Grant Fund <br />Law Enforcement Fund <br />Drug Enforcement Fund <br /> <br />289,000 <br /> 22,5O0 <br /> 22,000 <br /> 40,000 <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby <br />authorized to draw checks upon the City depositories for the amounts <br />appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are presented properly <br />approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is <br />incurred, providing the President of Council shall approve all <br />claims of the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance <br />were adopted in an open meeting of this'Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that <br />resulted in such formal actions, were in meetings open to the <br />public, in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble, and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Approved: ~ ~ /~ ~/ <br /> <br /> <br />
