ORDINANCE NO. 53-88 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Galiagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, Wend~ing <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to make additional appropriations for expendi- <br />tures of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year <br />ending December 31, 1988. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation <br />of the public property, health and safety and to provide for the usual <br />daily operation of municipal departments; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That there be appropriated from the Capital Projects Fund: <br /> <br />Capital Improvement Fund $ 2,000 <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby <br />authorized to draw checks upon the City depositories for the amounts <br />appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are presented properly <br />approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is <br />incurred, providing the President of Council shall approve all <br />claims of the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance <br />were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that <br />resulted in such formal actions, were in meetings open to the public. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble, and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />C 1 e~k <br /> <br /> <br />
