Placed on First Reading on 2-6-89 <br />Placed On Second Reading on 2-21-89 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4-89 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public <br />Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law and/or <br />Director of Finance to advertise for bids and to enter into a contract <br />or contracts for the purchase .of certain operating supplies or <br />services, professional services, capital improvements and replacement <br />of equipment for the City of La'kewood as authorized by the 1989 <br />Appropriation Ordinance with the lowest and best bidder or bidders as <br />provided by law. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure in that it <br />provides for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department; now, therefore; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor, (Director of Public Safety), the Director <br />of Public Works, the Director of Law and/or the Director of Finance be <br />and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or <br />contracts for the following operating supplies or services, <br />professional services, capital improvements and replacement of <br />equipment as authorized by the 1989 Appropriation Ordinance with the <br />lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement, whenever such <br />advertisement and bidding is required by law: <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />A. DIVISION OF STREETS <br /> <br /> 1. Curb replacement Labor and Materials <br /> 2. Contractor Services for Concrete Work <br /> 3. Materials for Street Repair <br /> 4. Road Surface Treatments <br /> 5. Asphalt and/or Services for Street & Pkg. Lot <br /> Resurfacing <br />6. Pavement Planing <br /> 7. Tires <br />8. Signal Installation - Newman & Franklin Avenues <br /> 9. Triple Post Lift <br />10. Two (2) Salt Trucks 35,000 GVW (Replacement) <br />11. One (1) Dump Truck 30,000 GVW (Replacement) <br />12. One (1) Street Sweeper (Replacement) <br />13. One (1) Pick-Up Truck (3/4-Ton) 4-wheel drive <br /> (Replacement) <br />14. Asphalt Storage Trailer (Replacement) <br />15. Cold Grinder <br />16.
