ORDINANCE NO. 7-89 <br /> <br /> BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gal lagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor for and <br />on behalf of the City of Lakewood to accept a grant to the City <br />of Lakewood in the amount of $5,625.00 from the Governor's Office <br />of Criminal Justice Services-Children's Trust Fund. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Governor's Office of Criminal Justice <br />Services-Children's Trust Fund, has approved and awarded to the <br />Lakewood Youth Office of the City of Lakewood a grant in the <br />amount of $5,625.00 for the purpose of providing an innovative <br />and far-reaching Child Abuse Prevention Program, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation <br />of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF' LAKEWOOD.. STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to accept a grant for the Youth Office of <br />the City of Lakewood in the sum of $5,625.00 from the Governor's <br />Office of Criminal Justice-Children's Trust Fund for the purpose <br />of providing a Child Abuse Prevention Program. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of <br />this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in formal action, were in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to <br /> be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br /> hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br /> of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; <br />· otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest <br /> period allowed by law. <br /> <br />PR~.SIDENT ' <br /> <br />Approved: ~ ~, /~7 <br /> <br /> <br />
