ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />4 1-89 BY: <br /> <br />Gallagher, Gazzama, George, <br />Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Mayor <br />ex-officio Director of Public Safety to issue a permit to Ms. Diana <br />Hansen, President of the Association of Lakewood Antique Dealers, to <br />conduct a sidewalk sale at those addresses set forth on Exhibit A <br />(attached), on Saturday, June 24, 1989, between the hours of 12:00 noon <br />and 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That notwithstanding the provision of Section <br />1667.17 of the Regional Building Code and the provision of Section 901.18 <br />of the Streets and Public Services Code of the Codified Ordinances of the <br />City of Lakewood, the Mayor, as ex-officio Director of Public Safety, be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to issue a permit to Ms. Diana <br />Hansen, President. of the Association of Lakewood Antique Dealers, to <br />conduct a sidewalk sale at those addresses set forth on Exhibit A on <br />Saturday, June 24, 1989, between the hours of 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m. No <br />more than fifty percent (50%) of the sidewalk width abutting participating <br />stores shall be occupied by displays, which occupied portion of the <br />sidewalk shall be that portion immediately adjacent to the principal <br />structure. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions <br /> o~ this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance <br /> were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br /> deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted <br /> in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance <br /> with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br /> emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of all <br /> members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br /> its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect <br /> and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRES I DENT <br /> <br />Approve~ ~y /,~!~ <br /> <br /> <br />
