Please substitute for Ordinance #12-90 <br />placed on first reading 2-20-90 and <br />on second reading 2-26-90. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 12-90 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), <br />the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law and/or Director of Finance <br />to advertise for bids and to enter into a contract or contracts for the <br />purchase of certain repair, maintenance and/or operating supplies and/or <br />services, professional services, capital improvements and equipment for the <br />City of Lakewood as authorized by the 1990 Appropriation Ordinance with the <br />lowest and best bidder or bidders as provided by law. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure in that it provides <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public <br />Works, the Director of Law and/or the Director of Finance be and are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts for the following <br />repair, maintenance and/or supplies and/or services, professional services, <br />capital improvements and equipment as authorized by the 1990 Appropriation <br />Ordinance with the lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement, <br />whenever such advertisement and bidding is required by law: <br /> <br />I. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />A. Supplies, materials and/or services for the construction, <br /> maintenance, rebuilding and/or repair of public properties, <br /> buildings, vehicles and/or equipment, including the following: <br /> 1. Curb replacement labor and materials. <br /> 2. Contractor Services for Concrete Work <br /> 3. Materials for Street Repair <br /> 4. Road Surface Treatments <br /> 5. Asphalt and/or Services for Street and Parking Lot Resur- <br /> facing <br /> 6. Pavement Planing <br /> 7. Structural Improvements - North Parking Garage <br /> 8. Parking Lot Improvements <br /> 9. Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction - Kenneth Drive <br /> 10. Insituform-Type Sewer Replacement - Various Locations ~ <br /> < 11. Paint West 117th Street Bridge <br /> 12. Sprinkler System - Celeste Park <br /> 13. Telephone/Communication System Maintenance Contract <br /> 14. New Roof and Insulation West Storage Garage <br /> 15. Installation of Wood Fence - Edwards Park <br /> 16. Miniature Golf Course <br /> 17. Lakewood Park Pavillion Renovation <br /> 18. Lakewood Park Bandstand Renovation <br /> 19. Water Main Replacements <br /> a. Garfield Ave. (Warren Rd. to Brown Rd.) <br /> b. Cranford Avenue (Clifton Blvd. to Detroit Ave.) <br /> c.
