PLACED ON FIRST READING and REFERRED to <br />FINANCE COMMIT.TEE on 2/20/90. <br />PLACED ON SECOND READING 4/2/~ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 14-90 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gatlagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Roth <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE establishing rate charges for the Municipal <br />Parking Garage located in the City of Lakewood, revising and amending <br />charges previously established and repealing Ordinance No. 55-86 <br />adopted May 19, 1986. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood owns and operates a Muncipal Parking <br />Garage which is open to the public and is managed and controlled as a <br />function of the Division of Streets, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a study by the Department of Finance and the Department of <br />Public Works discloses a need to revise the rate structure for the <br />garage due to increased costs of operation, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the usual daily operation of a muncipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the rates <br />Municipal Parking Garage be <br />follows: <br /> <br />for parking vehicles in the Lakewood <br />and the same are hereby established as <br /> <br />North Parking Garage <br /> <br />Each half-hour or fraction thereof <br />Maximum (not to exceed 24 hours) <br />Monthly pass <br />Reserved Section <br /> <br />$ .60 <br /> 4.25 <br /> 45.00 <br /> 55.00 <br /> <br />Authorization is given to the Director of Public Works, with <br />the approval of the City of Lakewood Board of Control, to <br />negotiate parking terms with group users for improved usage <br />of the parking garage. <br /> <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that <br />resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public <br />in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor, and Ordinance No. 55-86 adopted <br />May 19, 1986, shall be and the same is hereby repealed a uch time. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~ /~/, /~ <br /> <br /> Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
