ORDINANCE NO. 44-90 BY: B0scia, GaTlagher, George, Graham, Roth, Smith AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE providing a rate schedule for use of the pistol range in the Police Headquarters of the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the following rates shall be charged organizations for the use of the police pistol range located in the Police Headquarters in the City of Lakewood: Up to 4 hours or any part thereof $200.00 In excess of 4 hours up to 8 hours or any part thereof $400.00 Section 2. Use of the police pistol range shall be limited to organizations employing, or certified to train, law enforcement personnel, public or private. Section 3. The Chief of Police may, at his discretion, waive all or part of payment of fees provided for in Section 1 of this ordinance for governmental agencies, including, but not limited to, organizations such as the FBI, Department of Immigration, Internal Revenue Service and the United States Coast Guard if the agency has a reciprocal use agreement with the Lakewood Police Department. Section 4. Ail rentals of the police pistol range shall be subject to the approval of the Chief of Police and the use of such range shall be subject to rules and regulations as may be from time to time established by the Chief of Police, subject to the approval of the Director of Public Safety. Section 5. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its com- mittees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the pUblic, in compliance with all legal requirements. Section 6. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it Shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, effect and be in force after the earl' peri d allowed CLERK Approved: e
