Placed on FIRST READING ON 6/4/90, <br />and REFERRED to FINANCE CMTE. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 50-90 <br /> <br />BY :: Gallagher, Gazzana, George, <br /> Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to make additional appropriations for <br />expenditures of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal <br />year ending December 31, 1990. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immed~a%e preservation <br />of the public property, health a~ safety and %o provide for the usual <br />daily operation of municipal departments; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEMOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That there be appropriated from the General Fund: <br /> <br />General Fund <br /> <br />$ 35,000 <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and she is hereby <br />authorized to draw checks upon the City depositories for the amounts <br />appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are presented properly <br />approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is <br />incurred, providing the President of Council shall approve all claims <br />of the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of the Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that <br />resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble, and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in forj;e~ately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwi~._shall'xtake <br />effect and be in force after the earl]~ '~.~iod.~bwe~law. ) <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />/M~aS, o r V <br /> <br /> <br />
