That Section 135.07(b) of the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading: <br /> <br />135.07 POLYGRAPH TESTS;FEES. <br /> <br />(b) In order to defray the costs of the polygraph <br />examination, the Chief of Police is authorized and <br />directed to charge a fee of ninety dollars ($90.00) <br />for each polygraph examination given for the <br />investigation of crime, and a fee of fifty-five <br />dollars ($55.00) for each polygraph examination <br />given to determine qualifications for employment in <br />police departments. Such fees collected shall be <br />paid by the Chief of Police to the Director of <br />Finance, who shall credit them to the General Fund <br />of the City. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />135.07 POLYGRAPH TESTS;FEES. <br /> <br />(b) In order to defray the costs of the polygraph <br />examination, the Chief of Police is authorized and <br />directed to charge a fee of One Hundred Fifteen <br />($115.00) Dollars for each polygraph examination <br />given. The Chief of Police may waive this fee 'if <br />in his judgment the examination provided <br />information which was beneficial to the Division of <br />Police. Such fees collected shall be paid by the <br />Chief of Police to the Director of Finance, who <br />shall credit them to the General Fund of the City. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of~its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take <br />effect and be in force after the earliest period~d by 'law. <br />Adopted: ~ &/ /q~/ ~~E~N~"~ <br /> CLER~ / <br /> <br /> <br />
