ORDINANCE NO. 28-91 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor (Director. of Public <br />Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law and/or <br />Director of Finance to advertise for bids and to enter into a contract <br />or contracts for the purchase of certain operating supplies or <br />services, professional services, capital 'improvements and replacement <br />of equipment for the City of Lakewood as authorized by the 1991 <br />Appropriation Ordinance with the lowest and best bidder or bidders as <br />provided by law. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure in that it <br />provides for the immediate preservation of the Public health, safety <br />and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department; now, therefore; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director <br />of Public Works, the Director of Law and/or the Director of Finance be <br />and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or <br />contracts for the following operating supplies or services, <br />professional services, capital improvements and replacement of <br />equipment as authorized by the 1991 Appropriation Ordinance with the <br />lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement, whenever such <br />advertisement and bidding is required by law: <br /> <br />I. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Supplies, materials and/or services for the construc- <br />tion, maintenance, rebuilding and/or repair of public <br />properties, streets, sidewalks, sewers, catch basins, <br />buildings, vehicles and/or equipment, including the <br />following: <br /> <br /> 1. Curb replacement labor and materials <br /> 2. Contractor Services for Concrete Work <br /> 3. Materials for Street Repair <br /> 4. Road Surface Treatments <br /> 5. Asphalt and/or Services for Street & Parking Lot <br /> Resurfacing <br /> 6. Pavement Planing <br /> 7. Parking Lot Improvements <br /> 8. Sanitary & Storm Sewer Reconstruction <br /> 9. Sewer Replacement - Various Locations <br /> Trenchless Pipe Replacement <br />10. Telephone/Communication System Maintenance Contract <br />11. Lakewood Park Tennis Courts <br />12. Edwards Park Field & Building <br />13. Madison Park & Pool Renovation <br />14. Lakewood Park & Pool Renovation <br />15. Water Main Replacements <br /> a. Edgewater.Dr. (West 117th to Cove) <br /> b. Shaw Avenue (Granger to West Clifton) <br /> c. Ridgewood Avenue (Detroit to Franklin) <br /> d. Plover Avenue (Halstead to Magee) <br /> e.
