HARBARGER
MAYOR

Lakewood City Council
Lakewood, Ohio 44107

Re: Proposed Municipal Parkin: Lot

Dear Members of Council,

One of the consistent concerns raised by citizens and businesses alike
is that o~ the need for improved parking throughout the city. In that
light, as you are aware, funds have have become available through the
sale of the North Parking Garage for use in parking development.

Through much study, input and investigation, the Mayor's Parking
Adv~'sory Committee has targeted prime areas for possible development.

One of these areas is located at 14521 Madison Avenue. This is a
resident'iai, rental property in disrepair located between two retail
establishments. Upon the recommendation of the Parking Advisory
Committee and after completing property acquisition agreements, a
public meeting was held to gather neighborhood sentiment. The result
of this forum was unanimous in favor of constructing a municipal
parking lot of 20-25 spaces.

Attached for your consideration is a purchase agreement for this
property. The area residents and I would request favorable action on
this proposal so that construction and completion of this lot can be
accomplished in early 1992.

DRH/gvp

David R.
