PLEASE SUBSTITUTE FOR Ordinance <br />29-92 originally submitted with <br />Docket. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 29-92 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public <br />Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law and/or <br />Director of Finance to advertise for bids and to enter into a contract <br />or contracts for the purchase of certain operating supplies or <br />services, professional services, capital improvements and replacement <br />of equipment for the City of Lakewood as authorized by the 1992 <br />Appropriation Ordinance with the lowest and best bidder or bidders as <br />provided by law. <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure in that it <br />provides for the immediate preservation of the public'health, safety <br />and welfare and for the usual daily operation of~ a municipal <br />department, as delay could impair the City's ability to provide <br />necessary services in a timely manner; now, therefore; <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE.OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director <br /> of Public Works, the Director of Law and/or the Director of Finance.be <br /> and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or <br /> contracts for the following operating supplies or services, <br /> professional services, capital improvements and replacement of <br /> equipment as authorized by the 1992 Appropriation Ordinance with the <br /> lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement, whenever such <br /> advertisement and bidding is required 'by law: <br /> <br />I.
