BOARD OF REVISION OF ASSESSMENTS MEETING <br />TUESDAY, MAY 12, 1992 - 7:30 P.M. <br />1992 RESIDENTIAL STREET RESURFACING PROGRAM <br /> <br />Mayor David R. Harbarger called the meeting to order at 7:31 P.M. <br />Voting members present were: Mayor David R. Harbarger, Chairman; John <br />P. Gallagher, Council President; Steven J. Presley, Acting Director of <br />Finance; Michael E. Murman, Director of Law; and Frank Ziegenruecker, <br />Director of Public Works. Also present were Shukri Sharabi, City <br />Engineer and Advisor to the Board; ScOtt P. Woidke, Ass't. Director of <br />Public Works; and Thomas J. George, Councilman Ward II. <br /> <br />Chairman Harbarger reviewed the format of the meeting, the City <br />Engineer's recommendation and the Charter provisions pertaining to the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Beach Road <br /> <br />No residents present. Chairman Harbarger moved to assess residents <br />100% of the cost to resurface. Second by Councilman Gallagher. <br />Motion adopted unanimously. <br /> <br />Beach Avenue <br /> <br />Residents of Beach Avenue, Mr. Harvey Lee, Jr.; Ms. Finan; and Mr. <br />Norm Walters all expressed, various concerns regarding traffic flow; <br />problems with Fairchild Chevrolet; a tree that is destroying the <br />roadway; and the fact that the amount of commercial traffic on the <br />street is high enough, i~ their opinion, to warrant a reduction of <br />assessments to residents. <br /> <br />Cliffdale Road <br /> <br />Two residents expressed concern regarding the fairness of estimated <br />assessments to property owners, since they feel commercial traffic on <br />the street is high enough to warrant a reduction to residents. <br /> <br />Erie Cliff Drive <br /> <br />There were no residents from Erie Cliff present; however, the <br />Councilman George representing this street requested any consideration <br />the Board could give to a reduction in assessments to local property <br />owners. <br /> <br />Hall Avenue <br /> <br />No residents present. <br /> <br />Lakewood Avenue <br /> <br />Mr. Leopold, of Lakewood Avenue, responded to the Chairman's requests <br />for comments by indicating his concern that the street truly needed to <br />be resurfaced. Mr. Ziegenruecker responded by replying that without <br />resurfacing, the base of the street would be severely damaged. <br /> <br /> <br />
