ORDINA~CE NO. 63-92 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE fixing the compensation of the Probation Officer of the Lakewood Municipal Court and the time and method of payment there- of and repealing Ordinance No. 47-91 adopted June 5, 1991. ~EREAS, the Municipal Court Act, Revised Code Section 1901.33 provides that the legislative authority of a municipality shall fix the compensa- tion of the Prob'ation Officer appointed by the Judge of a Municipal Court, and, ~EREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the interest of public service, welfare and safety, it is necessary to fix the compensa- tion of the said Probation Officer and direct the time and method of payment thereof; now, therefore, IT IS ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the compensation of the Probation Officer of the Lakewood Municipal Court is hereby fixed at the aggregate sum of Twenty-Nine Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars per annum effective April 1, 1992. Section 2. That the Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood is hereby authorized and directed to pay said compensation of the Probation Officer as herein fixed, from the City Treasury in semi-monthly installments or in equal installments every two weeks. Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adop- tion and approval by the Mayor, and Ordinance No. 47-91 adopted June 5, 1991 shall be and is hereby repealed.
