Maintenance) 29,000 <br />Motorola (MDT etc. Maintenance) 18,000 <br />IBM Lease (Software) 18,500 <br />IBM Maintenance (Hardware) 18,750 <br />Waste Collection-Condominiums 51,100 <br />Receiving and Processing Yard Waste 36,100 <br /> Receivin§ and Processing Mixed Recyclables 17,500 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure in that <br />it provides for the immediate preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department, as delay could impair the City's ability to provide <br />necessary services in a timely manner; now, therefore; <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the <br />Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of <br />Finance, and/or the Procurement Officer be and are hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into a contract or contracts for supplies, <br />services and equipment as detailed in the 1995 Budget and set forth <br />above, with the lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement <br />whenever such advertisement and bidding is required by law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That contracts for supplies, services and equipment <br />in excess of $7,500, and for professional services in excess of $5,000 <br />shall not be awarded except as approved herein or further approved by <br />Resolution of Council. <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance <br />were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that <br />resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the.~Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect <br />and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br /> <br />
