<br />PLACED ON 1st Reading & Referred to <br />PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE 12/4/95. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE -NO. <br /> <br />80-95 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Flannery, George, Gibbons, <br />Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Mayor <br />(Director of Puþlic Safety}, the Director of Public Works, and the Director of <br />Finance to advertise for bids and énter into a contract with the lowest ana <br />best bidder in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood <br />for the purchase of the listed vehicles and equipment, contracts not to exceed <br />the specified amounts shown without separate Resolution of Council. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate <br />preservation of the public property, health and safety, and to provide for the <br />usual daily operation of municipal departments in that certain capital <br />improvements projects are to be undertaken in 1996 in accordance with the <br />Capital Improvement Plan for fiscal year 1996, now <br /> <br />BE IT OROAINËD BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the <br />Director of Public Works, and the Director of Finance are hereby authorizes <br />and directed to advertise for bids and enter into a contract with the lowest <br />and best bidder in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of <br />Lakewood for the foll ow; og vehi cl es and equipment, contracts not to exceed the <br />specified amounts shown, except as hereinafter provided: <br /> <br />Police Patrol Vehicles <br /> <br />$108,000 <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Mayöp (Directpr of Public Safety), the <br />Director of Public Works. and the Director of Finance are hereby authorized <br />and di rected to entèr i ntD contracts as set forth above in amounts not to <br />exceed the specified amounts without further action from Counci1j and to enter <br />into çontraçts in excess of specified amounts only upon consent of Council <br />evidenced by adoption of a resolution specifying the authorized amoUnt. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Counci 1 concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council. and that all such deliberatiQns of <br />this Council and of any of its committeEs that resulted in such formal action <br />were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all 1ßgal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 4.
