PLEASE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 81-95 PLACED ON 1ST READING & REFERRED TO PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE ON 12/4/95. PLACED ON 2nd READING as AMENDED on 2/5/96. ORDINANCE NO. 81-95 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, George, Roth, Seelie, Smith AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, and the Director of Finance to advertise for bids and enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood for the purchase of the listed vehicles and equipment, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown without separate Resolution of Council. WHEREASj an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that certain capital improvements projects are to be undertak~n in 1996 in accordance with the Capital Improvement Plan for fiscal year 1996, now BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOO, STATE OF OHIO Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of pUblic Safety), the Director of Public Works, and the Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contracts as set forth above in amounts not to exceed the specified amounts without further action from Council; and to enter into contracts in excess of specified amounts only upon consent of Council evidenced by adoption of a resolution specifying the authorized amount.
