That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized <br />and directed to engage architêctu~al and/or engineering firms to provide <br />professional services in the design and preparation of specifications and <br />contract admiriistration and to advertise for bids and enter into a contract <br />with the lowest and best bidder in accordance with the Administrative Code of <br />the City of Lakewood for the fallowing Transportation, Network Improvements. <br />contracts not to exceed the sPeci fi ed amounts shown exc_ept as herei nafter <br />pravi ded: <br /> <br />1996 C.D.B.G. Street Reconstruction <br /> <br />$1,479,243 <br /> <br />SBction 2. That ,the Directornof Public Works is hereby authorized <br />and di rected to enter into contracts as set forth above in amounts not to <br />exceed the specified amounts without further action from Council; and to enter <br />into contracts in excess of speci fi ed amounts ,onl y upon consent of Counci 1 <br />evidenced by adoption of a resolution specifying the authorized amount. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is fQund and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Councils and that all such deliberations of <br />this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action <br />were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 4.
