ORDINANCE NO: 6-96 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, George, Roth, Seelie, Smith An EMERGENCY ORDINANCE enacted by the City ofLakewood, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, hereinafter referred to as the CITY, in the matter of the hereinafter described improvement and requests the cooperation of the County of Cuyahoga by its Board of County Commissioners, hereinafter referred to as the COUNTY. WHEREAS, the CITY has recognized the need for and proposes the improvement of a portion of public highway which is described as follows: The resurfacing and painting of the Detroit Road (US-6A) Bridge No. 66 over the Rocky River. WHEREAS, this project is part of a larger project which is the above stated improvement in the Cities of Rocky River and Lakewood; and WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipai department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section h That the Mayor and Director of Public Works are hereby authorized and directed to enter into agreements with the County of Cuyahoga and its Board of Commissioners necessary to complete the planning and construction and to make application to the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioner for approval to use County Motor Vehicle License Tax Funds for the resurfacing and painting of the Detroit Road (US-6A) Bridge No. 66 over the Rocky River. Section 2. CONSENT 1. That it is declared to be in the public interest that the consent of said CITY be and such consent is hereby given to the COUNTY and the Ohio Department of Transportation to construct the above described improvement in accordance with plans, specifications and estimates approved by the COUNTY. Section 3. COOPERATION 1. That the CITY will cooperate with the COUNTY and the Ohio Department of Transportation in the resurfacing and painting of the Detroit Road (US-6A) Bridge No. 66 over the Rocky River. 2. That the COUNTY will arrange for the preparation of construction plans and specifications, including necessary engineering reports fbr improvement, under current Cuyahoga County Engineer standards for construction of County roads and bridges. 3. That the COUNTY will arrange for the supervision and administration of the construction contract.
