PLACBD ON 1st Reading 6 Referred to Committee of the Whole 7/1/96. ORDINANCE NOJ 27-96 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, George, Roth, Smith AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the appropriation of certain funds of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1996. WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; and, WHEREAS, projected revenues from the user charges are sufficient to support the appropriations below; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to appropriate the following Enterprise Fund: WINTERHURST ICE RINK ENTERPRISE FUND $500,000 Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized to draw checks upon the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are presented properly, approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is incurred, providing the President of council shall approve all claims for City Council. Seciion 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open tot he public in compliance with all legal requirements. Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law.
