PLACBD ON 1st Reading 6 Referred <br />to Committee of the Whole 7/1/96. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NOJ 27-96 BY: <br /> <br />Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br />George, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the appropriation of certain <br />funds of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending <br />December 31, 1996. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate <br />preservation of the public property, health and safety and to provide for the <br />usual daily operation of municipal departments; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, projected revenues from the user charges are sufficient <br />to support the appropriations below; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and <br />directed to appropriate the following Enterprise Fund: <br /> <br /> WINTERHURST ICE RINK ENTERPRISE FUND $500,000 <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby <br />authorized to draw checks upon the City depositories for the amounts <br />appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are presented properly, <br />approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is incurred, <br />providing the President of council shall approve all claims for City Council. <br /> <br /> Seciion 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of <br />this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action <br />were in meetings open tot he public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br />and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />President of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
