shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />516 07 Administration, Discrimination Complaint Service and Enforcement <br /> <br />(b) The discrimination complaint service shall be available to any person who <br />alleges that his rights have been denied relative to housing and/or financing for <br />housing because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, ancestry, <br />handicap, familial status or national origin. <br /> <br /> Section 7. That Section 1237.08 of the Condominium Chapter of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />1327.08 Equal Opportunity <br /> <br />No person shall be denied the right to purchase or lease a condominium unit in the <br />city because of race, color, creed, sex, religious beliefs, national origin, or physical <br />handicap. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />1327.08 Equal Opportunity <br /> <br />No person shall be denied the right to purchase or lease a condominium unit in the <br />city because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, ancestry, handicap, <br />familial status or national origin. <br /> <br /> Section 8. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting <br />of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with <br />all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 9. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the <br />reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br /> President <br /> <br /> <br />
