PLACE ON lst Reading & Referred TO FINANCE <br />COMMITTEE ON 6/16/97. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 32 - 97 <br /> <br /> BY:Boscia, Corrigan, <br />Flannery, George, Roth, Seelie <br />Smith · <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to adjust appropriatiOns for expenditures in certain <br />funds of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1997. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public <br />property, health and safety and to provide for the usual dally operation of municipal departments; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, projected revenues are sufficient to support the appropriations below; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section I. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to increase <br /> appropriations in the following fund up to the mount stated below: <br /> <br /> Hospitalization Fund $ 2,725,000 <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Di~tor of Finance be and she is hereby authorized to draw checks upon <br /> the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are <br /> presented properly, approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is <br /> incurred, providing the President of Council shall approve all claims for City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and <br />relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br />that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons <br />stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affmnative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br />and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted' f./f'"~f <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />President of Council <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
