ORDINANCE NO.: 42-97 BY: Corrigan, Flannery, George, Seel£e, Smith An emergency ordinance authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Procurement Officer to enter into a contract to obtain rental services to provide front end loaders in connection with the City's leaf collection program. Whereas, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of public property, health and safety, and to provide for the annual leaf collection program, and Whereas, the City received proposals from five vendors to pro¥ide for rental services for front end loaders with Ohio Machinery Company providing the lowest and best quote for the equipment specified, and Whereas, the approval of Council is required for the purchase/lease of supplies, services and equipment in excess of $7,500.00, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Procurement Officer are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Ohio Machinery Company in an amount not to exceed $14,000.00. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concering and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law.
