PLACED ON 1st Reading 6 Re£erred <br />FINANCE COMMITTEE ON 10/6/97. <br /> PLACED ON 2nd Reading <br /> <br />tO <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4 6- 9 7 <br /> <br /> BY: Corrigan, Flannery, <br />George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to adjust appropriations for expenditures in certain <br />funds of the City of Lak~wooc~ State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1997. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, mi emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public <br />property, health and safety and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; <br />and, <br /> <br /> wHEREAs, grant funds have been awarded to the City during 1997 and are sufficient to <br />support the appropriations below; now, therefore,. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section I. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to increase <br />appropriations in the following fund up to the amount stated below: <br /> <br />$ust Friends Grant Fund <br />Office on Aging IItB Fund <br /> <br />$116,423 <br /> 7,140 <br /> <br />Section 2. That thc Director of Finance be and she is hereby authorized to draw checks upon <br />the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are <br />presented properly, approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is <br />incurred, providing the President of Council shall approve all clalm~ for City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and <br />relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br />that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons <br />stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affmnafive vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Cmmcil, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br />and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br /> <br /> President of Council <br /> <br />Ma~or <br /> <br /> <br />
