Placed on Zn~ Reaalng on ~/ ~ozw~. <br /> Amended on floor 4/20/98. ~,% <br /> <br />ORDFNANCE NO. 25-98 BY: Corrigan, Flannery, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell, <br /> <br />George <br />SMith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 149.20 of the <br />Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood City. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, employees of the City, and volunteers of the Lakewood Office on <br />Aging, who are required to use their personal automobile in carrying out their duties on <br />behalf of the City, received a mileage allowance below the standard allowance provided <br />under the Internal Revenue Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that the per mile allowance for City <br />employees and volunteers should be consistent with the Internal Revenue Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the <br />immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare; now, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> 149.20 MILEAGE ALLOWANCE <br /> ia) . Commencing January 1, 1992, in addition to such salary or compensation <br />as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall be paid the sum of one hundred <br />twenty-five dollars ($125.00) per month to employees in group one, one hundred dollars <br />($100.00) to employees in group two, forty dollars ($40.00) to employees in group three, <br />and sixty-two dollars and fiRy cents ($62.50) to employees in group four, holding the <br />positions hereinafter designated and who are not furnished City-owned vehicles for their <br />use in the performance of their duties: <br /> (1) Group one. <br /> A. Building inspectors. <br /> B. Outreach workers. <br /> C. Housing maintenance officers. <br /> (2) Group two. <br /> A. Sanitary officers in the Division of Pubtic Health. <br /> B. Visiting nurses. <br /> C. Building Commissioner. <br /> D. Assistant Building Commissioner. <br /> E. Meter readers. <br /> (3) Group three. <br /> A. Home health aides. <br /> B. Social service worker. <br /> (4) Group four. <br /> Part-time Building Inspection Division complaint investigators <br /> working twenty hours per week. (Ord. 3-92. Passed 1-21-92.) <br /> <br /> (b) Commencing April 1, 1986, in addition to such salary or compensation as <br />may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall be paid to those employees of the <br />City, and volunteers of Lakewood Office on Aging, who are required to use their <br />personal automobile in carrying out their duties on behalf of the City, other than those <br />City employees set forth in subsection ia) hereof, a mileage allowance of twenty cents <br />($0.20) per mile; provided, however, that such personal car use shall be approved by the <br />appropriate department head and provided further that, when applicable, such allowance <br />shall not exceed the cost of round trip coach air fare for such trip. <br />(Ord. 28-86.
