Ail compensation provided for herein shall be paid in equal <br />installments eve~ two (2) weeks. <br /> <br /> Section 3. ~ annual sata~ied employees shall be entitled to compensable t~me <br />off for actual hours worked in.excess of e/ght (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per <br />week, and for work performed on Saturday, Sunday and any holiday as defined in <br />Section 149.10, provided herein that no accrued compensatory time shall be converted to <br />cash upon termination of employment. In lieu of the compensable time authorized <br />herein, all a,-~ual salaried employees coverod under the provisions of the Fair Labor <br />Standards Act shall be paid time and one-half their regular pay for all hours worked in <br />excess of forty (40) hours per week. This Section does not apply to Tr~c Signal <br />T~hnicians - Depac~ent of Public Works, whose overt/me compensation is covered <br />pursuant to Section 5 and Section 6 herein, or employees who are paid overtime <br />pursuant to a collective barg~i,,,b',~ a~'eement. <br /> <br /> Section 4. Traffic Signal Technidans shall receive ~me and one-half of their <br />regular pay for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours <br />per week. Tr~¢ Signal T~h,~i~j,,,., shall receive time and one-half for all hours <br />worked on Saturday, Sunday or any holiday as defined in Section 149.10. <br /> <br /> Section 5. Tr~c Signal T~hni~,,.~. Depa~-tment of Publ/c Works, who work <br />more than four (4) hours as par~ of a regular shift ass/~nment between the hours of <br />p.m. and 8:30 a.n~ shall receive a shif~ premium of twenty five cents ($.25) per hour for <br />all hours w~erked duxing the second shift (3:30 p.m. to 12:00 mic[uiF, ht) and thirty cent~ <br />($.30) pei hour for all hours worked du,~g the third shift (12:01 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.). <br /> <br /> Section 6. A qu~li6ed physician who is appointed to serve part-time as the <br />City's Health Comm!-_,~/oner shall be entitled to receive wages of $15,675 per year. <br /> <br /> Section 7. Employee members, w]file serving upon a jury in any court, shall be <br />paid at his regular salary rate for each of his workdays du~ing the period of time so <br />servec[ Time so served shall be deemed active and continuous serv/ce for all purposes. <br />In addition to the compensation provided for herein, any jury fees paid to the <br />employee/juror for service in any court, except Lakewood Mumc/pal Court, shall be <br />retained by the employee to compensate for the expenses of jury service. <br /> <br /> Section 8. It is found and dete,~i-ed that ail formal actions of this Council <br />concer~i-g and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that ail such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 9. That thi.~ Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />for the reasons stated in the Preamble hereof and provided it receives the ~B~native <br />vote of two-tbfrds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect <br /> <br /> <br />
