ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />37-98 <br /> <br /> BY: Corrigan, Flannery, <br />George, Roth, Seelie, Sl~ith, <br />Skindell <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to adjust appropriations for expenditures in certain <br />funds of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 3l, 1998. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public <br />property, health and safety and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, grant funds have been awarded to the City during 1998 and are sufficient to <br />support the appropriations below; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section I. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to 'increase <br />appropriations in the following fund up to the amount stated below: <br /> <br /> General Fund $ 20,000 <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and she is hereby authorized to draw checks upon <br />the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are <br />presented, properly, approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is <br />incurred, providing the President of Council shall approve all claims for City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and <br />relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br />that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 4.
