Deferred 10/4/99. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO 36-99 <br /> <br />BY- Corrigan, FitzGerald, <br /> <br />George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell, <br />Smith. <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE fixing the compensation of the Probation Officer of !he <br />Lakewood Municipal Court and the time and method of payment <br /> <br />WfIEREAS, the Municipal Court Act, Revised Code Section 1901 33 provides that the <br />legislative authority of a municipality shall fix the compensation of the Probation Officer appointed <br />by the Judge of a Municipal Court and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance con:;titutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily <br />operation of it municipal department in !hat in the interest of public service, welfare and safety, it is <br />necessary to fix the compensation of the said Probation Office and direct the time and method_ of <br />payment !hereof, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' <br /> <br />Section 1. That the compensation of the Probation Officer of the Lakewood Municipal <br />Court is hereby fixed at the aggregate sum of Thirty Seven Thousand Forty Dollars per annum <br />effective April 1 , 1999 <br /> <br />Section 2 That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to pay said <br />compensation of the Probation Officer as herein fixed, ftom the City Treasury in semi-monthly <br />installments of equal installments every two weeks. <br /> <br />Section 3 That Ordinance No 48-98 adopted October 20, 1998 and all, other ordinances <br />or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith shall be and are hereby repealed <br /> <br />Section 4 It is found and detennined that all formal actions of this Council concerning <br />and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br />that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal <br />actions were in meeting open to the p1.iblic in compliance with all legal requirementK <br /> <br />Section 5.
