PLACED ON 1ST READING ~ REFERRED <br />TO FINANCE COMMITTEE 10/16/00. <br />PLACED ON 2ND READING 11/6/00. <br /> <br />ORDINANCENO. 62-00 BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to adjust appropriations for expenditures in the Office <br />on Aging IIIB Grant Fund for the fiscal year ending December 3 I, 2000. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public <br />property, health and safety and to provide for the usual daily operation o£ municipal departments; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, projected revenues are sufficient to support the appropriations below; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to increase <br />appropriations in the following fund by the mount stated below: <br /> <br />Office on Aging IIIB Grant Fund <br /> <br />16,150 <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized to draw checks upon <br />the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are <br />presented properly, approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is <br />incurred, providing the President of Council shall approve all claims for City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and <br />relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br />that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby decl~red to be an emergency measure for the reasons <br />stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br />and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br /> <br /> President of Council <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
