emplOyee of such corporation, partnerShip, firm or other business association has been <br />licensed pursuant to this chapter. All work performed by such corporation, partnership, <br />firm or other business association shall be under the direct supervision of the licensed <br />person. <br /> <br /> 1321.02 APPLICATION. <br /> (a) Applications for a license shall be on a form issued by the Building <br />Commissioner. Such licenses shall be granted if the Building Commissioner finds the <br />applicant is qualified to perform the work for wh ich the application is sought. <br /> <br /> (b) Evidence that the applicant is' currently licensed by a city or county <br />which, in the opinion of the Building Commissioner has a qualified examination, shall be <br />sufficient evidence of qualification so as to authorize the issuance of a license. <br />Evidence that the applicant has served an apprenticeship in a trade union and passed <br />all necessary requisite of the electrical union which, in the opinion of the Building <br />Commissioner demonstrate the applicant's ability to perform work in compliance with all <br />applicable codes and ordinances, shall be sufficient evidence of qualification so as to <br />authorize the issuance of a license. <br /> <br /> (c) If the applicant does not qualify based upon subsection (b) hereof, a <br />written examination as to the qualifications and competency to perform the work for <br />which the application is sought shall be condUcted by the Building Commissioner based <br />upon the minimum standards as set forth in the applicable codes and ordinances. A fee <br />of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be paid at the time of the examination and for each <br />examination thereafter. <br /> <br /> 1321.03 TIME AND FEE. <br /> The license shall be valid for the calendar year in which issued and shall be <br />renewed annually thereafter. A fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be paid at the time of <br />the application and at each renewal thereafter. <br /> <br /> 1321.04 INSURANCE. <br /> Each applicant for a license shall fumish evidence of insurance for bodily injury <br />in the amount of one hundred thousand dollars/three hundred thOusand dollars <br />($100,000/$300,000), and for property damages in the amount of at least fifty thousand <br />dollars ($50,000). <br /> <br /> 1321.05 BOND. <br /> When evidence discloses that the licensee has refused, failed or neglected to <br />correct or abate violations of any applicable code or ordinance in performance of any <br />work done pursuant to a liCense within a reasonable time after having been notified by <br />the Building Commissioner, the Building Commissioner may require the licensee to <br />furnish a performance bond in the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) guaranteeing <br />full and faithful compliance by the licensee with all provision of any applicable code Or <br />ordinance of the City and binding the surety thereon to correct or abate any violations of <br />any applicable code or ordinance of the City whenever the applicant for a license <br />named as the principal on such bond refuses, neglects or fails to correct or abate such <br />violation within a reasonable time limit set by the Building Commissioner. <br /> <br /> 1321.06 LICENSING BY THE BUILDING COMMISSIONER. <br /> (a) Upon receipt of a propedy completed license application and upon <br />compliance with Sections 1321.02, 1321.03, 1321.04 and 1321.05, the Building <br />Commissioner shall issue a license to the applicant which shall be valid only for the <br />current calendar year or disapprove the application for one of the several reasons as <br />set forth in Section 1321.07. <br /> <br /> <br />
