performed the required duties with no more supervision than is required by other qualified employees on <br />the same or similar jobs, and when the employee's record, as to quality and quantity of work, meets the <br />standard applicable to the job. The emplOYee shall be notified, in writing, the date of the employee's <br />qualification. If the employee failed to qualify, the employee shall be returned to the employee's former <br />job. An employee who successfully bids into a new division will retain bargaining unit seniority. <br /> <br />23.04 No employee shall be eligible for promotion under these provisions who has not satisfactorily <br />completed the .required probationary period. <br /> <br />23.05 Any employee shall be pr6hibited from bidding successfully on more than two (2) job postings <br />during any calendar year. <br /> <br />23.06 The City agrees that employees who arc on layoffmay bid on prOmotions and will be permitted to <br />call the Office of Human Resources to make inquiry as to their status and position on the recall list. <br /> <br />23.07 All interviews for posted positions shall be held on paid time, shall be face-to-face, and shall be <br />attended by the steward from the division where the opening exists. If the steward is an applicant for the <br />position, all interviews shall be attended by the Chief Steward. <br /> <br />23.08 Permanent assignment to the Division of Streets and Forestry shall require a Class A CDL, <br />and permanent assignment to the Division of Refuse and Recycling shall require a Class B CDL. <br />Permanent assignment to the Division of Fleet Management shall require a Class A CDL plus tanker and <br />passenger endorsements. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 24 <br /> <br />HOLIDAYS <br /> <br />24.01 Effective January 1, 2002, all' full-time, hourly employees who have completed their <br />probationary period shall be entitled to the following paid holidays: <br /> <br />New Year's Day <br /> <br />Labor Day <br /> <br />Martin Luther King Jr. Day <br /> <br />Thanksgiving Day <br /> <br />President's Day <br /> <br />Day After Thanksgiving <br /> <br />Good Friday <br /> <br />Christmas Day <br /> <br />Memorial Day <br /> <br />Employee's Birthday <br /> <br />Independence Day <br /> <br />. Three (3) Personal Holidays <br /> <br />24.02 No employee shall be compensated for .holiday pay unless the employee works or-is available for <br />work on the employee's regularly scheduled workday immediately preceding and immediately following <br />said holiday, unless exCUSed because of illness or 'injury, vacation, funeral leave or jury duty. An <br />employee who reports for work thirty (30) minutes or less late on the regularly scheduled day before or <br />following a holiday shall be docked for the amount of time tardy and will not lose the holiday pay... <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br /> <br />
