<br />r""} <br /> <br />Please Substitute for Ordinance No. 66-0l. <br />(Placed on 1 ,t Reading and Referred to the <br />Public Works and Finance Committees <br />12/3/0.) <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 66-01 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Corrigan, Dunn, FitzGerald, George. <br />Roth, Seelie, Skindel1. <br /> <br />c <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Public Works to engage architectural and/or engineering firms to provide professional <br />services in the design and preparation of specifications and contract administration and <br />to advertise for bids and enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder for <br />Sewer System Improvements in accordance with the Administrative Code of the <br />City of Lakewood¡ contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown without <br />separate Resolution of Council. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation <br />of the public property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of <br />municipal departments in that certain capital improvements projects are to be <br />undertaken in 2002 in accordance with the Capital Improvement Plan for fiscal year <br />2002, now <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and <br />directed to engage architectural and/or engineering firms to provide professional <br />services in the design and preparation of specifications and contract administration and <br />to advertise for bids and enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder in <br />accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood, for the following <br />Sewer System Improvements, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown, <br />except as hereinafter provided: <br /> <br />GIS <br />Hilliard Rd. (MadiSon to Warren) <br />Warren Rd. (Grout, Tracks to Clifton) <br />Sewer Capital Repair Program <br />Repair Aeration Tank "Y" Walls <br />Aerial Sewer Replacement & <br />WWTP Headwork Modification <br /> <br />$100,000 <br />300,000 <br />370,000 <br />250,000 <br />380,000 <br /> <br />350,000 <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into cOntracts as set forth above in amounts not to exceed the <br />specified amounts without further action from Council; and to enter into contracts in <br />excess of specified amounts only upon consent of Council evidenced by adoption of a <br />resolution specifying the authorized òmount. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formaj òctions of this <br />Council concerning ònd relating to the pòssòge. of this ordinònc~ were òdopted in òn <br />open meeting of this Councii, ònd that all such deliberòtions of this Councii ònd of òny <br />of its committees thòt resulted in such formòl òction were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliònce with òlllegòl requirements. <br /> <br />Section 4. This oidinònce is hereby deciared an emergency meòsure for <br />the reòsons stòted in the preamble hereof ònd provided it receives the òffirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of òll members elected to Council, It shòll tòke effect ònd be in force <br />
