ORDINANCE NO. 68-01A BY: Corrigan, Dunn, Roth, Seelle, Skindell AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 68-01, passed February 4, 2002, for the purpose of increasing the contracting authority for the Director of Public Works to engage architectural and/or engineering firms to provide professional services in the design and preparation of specifications and contract administration and to advertise for bids and enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder for Park Improvements in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown without separate resolution of Coundl. WHEREAS, six bids have been received for the Madison Pool House Renovation Project, the lowest is $75,000 over the current contracting authority for this project; and WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that certain capital improvements projects are to be undertaken in 2002 in accordance with the Capital Improvement Plan for fiscal year 2002, now BE 1T ORDAZNED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1. That Ordinance No. 68-01, passed February 4, 2002, currently reading as follows: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to engage architectural and/or engineering firms to provide professional services in the design and preparaUon of specifications and contract administration and to advertise for bids and enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood, for the following Park Improvements, contracts not'to exceed the specified amounts shown, except as hereinafter provided: Lakewood Park Study/Implementation Plan Edwards, Cove Parks & St; Charles Green Madison Pool House Renovations aty Reforestation Foster Pool - Water System 100,000 75,000 89,191 50,000 50,000 Section 2.
