PLACED ON IST P, EADING & REFERRED TO THE <br />RULES & ORDINANCES CMTE 2J.,19]02. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 33-02 <br /> <br />8¥: Corrisau, Dunn, FitzGerald, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Sktndel] <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE to amend section 537.01, Negligent Homicide, of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood for the purpose of including the unlawful <br />termination of anothe~s pregnancy and to remain consistent with the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance is necessary for the publichealth, welfare and safety. <br />Now therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF tAKE'WOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That section 537.01, Negligent Homicide, of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood currently reading as follows: <br /> <br /> 537.01 NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE. <br /> (a) No person shall negligently cause the death of another by means of a <br />deadly w~apon or dangerous ordnance as defined in Section 549.01. <br /> <br /> (b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of negligent homidde, a <br />misdemeanor of the first degree. <br /> <br />shall be and Is hereby'amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 537.0;[ NEGliGENT HOMICIDE. <br /> (a) No person shall negligently cause the death of another or the unlawful <br />termination of another's Pregnancy by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous <br />ordnance as defined in Seddon 549.0L <br /> <br /> (b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of negligent homicide, a <br />misdemeanor of the first degree. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Coundl <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberation of the Coundl and of any of lbs <br />committees that resulted_in such formal action were In meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
