Placed on <br />Reading 5/' 5/03). <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 42-03 BY: <br /> <br />Corrigan, Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, George, <br />Roth, Seeli6. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating positions and rates of pay for full-time and certain <br />part-time annual salaried employees and hourly rate employees not covered by a collective bargaining <br />agreement in the several departments, divisions and offices of the City of Lakewood, effective April 1, <br />2003, and for the Chief of Fire, Chief of Police and Civil Service Commissioners, effective January 1, <br />2003. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily <br />operation of a municipal department in that in the interest of public service, welfare and safety, it is <br />necessary to adjust the compensation of employees; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Classifications, rates of pay, pay grades, levels and certain other supplemental <br />compensation for non-probationary full-time and certain part-time, annual salaried and hourly rate <br />employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement are hereby authorized in the several <br />departments, divisions and offices of the City of Lakewood as fixed in accordance with the <br />Administrative Employee Salary Administration Program Policy and Procedures, as modified herein, <br />and with the approval of the Department Director, Director of Finance, Human Resources <br />Administrator and Mayor. Effective April 1, 2003, all full time employees shall receive a general <br />increase to their existing rate of pay of two per6ent (2%), provided that such resultant increase does not <br />increase any employee's rate of pay to an amount greater than the maximum rate for the pay grade to <br />which their classification is assigned as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2.
