ORDINANCE NO. 6o-o~ <br /> <br />FitzGerald, G~orge, Roth, Seelie. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE establishing the Family Child Day Care Home <br />Project Fund special revenue fund for the deposit of revenue and payment of expenses <br />assodated with the program. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has been awarded a grant from the Ohio <br />Department of Education funded through the United States Food and Drug <br />Administration for the reimbursement of the cost of meals to home day care providers <br />to the children of eligible families; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a special revenue fund will permit the City to properly track federal <br />revenue and expenditures relating to this program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Coundl by a vote of at least five (5) membem elected thereto <br />determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall <br />take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTiCLE III, SECTONS 10 and <br />13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and <br />to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that the contract <br />for the current program year begins October 1, 2003. Now Therefore, <br /> <br />BI: IT ORDAINED BY THE CIIY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That new section 129.51 Family Child Day Care Program Fund rs <br />hereby established to read as follows: <br /> <br /> All revenues derived from the Family Child Day Care Program through the Ohio <br />Department of Education and the United States Food and Drug Administration shall be <br />kept and maintained in a separate fund hereby designated the Family Child Day Care <br />Program Fund. All expenditures for program activities meeting the criteria of the grant <br />shall be paid from this fund. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Coundl, and that all such deliberation of the Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the publ!c peace, property, <br />health, safety and welfare in the City and for the usual daily operation of the Qty for <br />the reasons set forth and defined in the preamble to this ordinance, and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of at least five (5) of its members elected to Council, this <br />ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption by the Coundl <br /> <br /> <br />
