<br /> An ORDINANCE to amend Chapter 1309, Permit Fees, of the Codified Ordinances
<br />of the City of Lakewood for the purpose of updating permit fees and paying the cost of
<br />permits and inspections.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, fees for permits and inspections have not been increased since 1991
<br />and the cost of the issuance of permits and the supervision and inspection of alterations
<br />and construction of various kinds has materially increased. Now therefore,
<br />
<br />BE ~T ORDAINED BY THE C1TY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That Chapter 1309, Permit Fees, of the Codified Ordinances of the
<br />City of Lakewood currently reads as follows:
<br />
<br /> 1309,01 PAYMENT PROCEDURE.
<br /> The fees to bepaid for building perm ts sha be determined by the Building
<br />Commissioner in accordance with the fo ow ng schedule and shall be noted upon the
<br />application when approved for the issuing of the permit. Such fees are to be paid to the
<br />Building Department which, upon receipt of such fees, shall issue the permit to the
<br />applicant. The fees to be paid shall be as are provided in this chapter.

<br /> 1309.02 BUZLDt'NG PERMIT FEES.
<br /> (a) New Buiidinqs and Structures.
<br /> (1) New buildings or Structures of up to one thousand Fee
<br /> dollars ($1,000) of valuation, minimum fee: $100.00
<br /> (2) For each additional One hundred dollars ($100.00)
<br /> of valuation or part thereof in excess of one
<br /> thousand dollars ($1,000) for residential use: 1.00
<br /> (3) For each additional one hundred dollars ($100.00)
<br /> of valuation or part thereof in excess of one
<br /> thousand dollars ($1,000) of commercial, ndustrial,
<br /> retail, mercantile, assembly, or apartment house
<br /> use:

<br />(~_) Up to 480 square feet of aggregate floor area,

<br />{3) Garage pad or foundation only: 10.00

<br />Structural Changes or Remodeling, Structural changes and/or
<br />remodeling where no door space is added to the existing structure.
<br />(1) Structural changes and/or remodeling changes of up to
<br /> one thousand dollars ($1,000) of valuation, minimum
<br /> fee: 20.00
<br />(2) For each additional one hundred dollars ($100.00) of
<br />valuation or part thereof in excess of one thousand
<br />dollars ($1,000) for residential use: 1.00
<br />(3) For each additional one hundred dollars ($100.00) of
<br /> valuation or part thereof in excess of one thousand
<br /> dollars ($1,000) for commercial, industrial, retail,
<br /> mercantile, assembly, or apartment house use: 2.00
<br />
<br />New Additions and Alterations. For all new additions and
<br />and alterations which change the height, area, classification
<br />or grade of the building.
<br />(1) Additional floor area of up to one thousand dollars
<br /> ($1,000) of valuation, minimum fee: 20.00
<br />{2) For each additional one hundred dollars ($100.00)
<br /> of valuation Or part thereof in excess of one thousand
<br /> dollars ($1,000) for residential use:
