Surfacing or resurfacing of driveways or parking lots excluding liquid <br /> (1) For the first 1,000 square feet of aggregate <br /> surface area or part thereof, minimum fee: 25.00 <br /> (2) For each additional 500 square feet of <br /> aggregate surface area, or part thereof: 10.00 <br /> 1309.09 COMBINAT]*ON PERM~'T FEE. <br />Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, a home owner who <br />performs the work and who occupies the premises wherein the work is to be performed <br />may obtain a combination permit fee to cover all or any alterations, remodeling, <br />plumbing, electrical or HVAC work, provided that the value of such work shall not <br />exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000) in total. 25.00 <br /> 1309.10 ADDt*Tt'ONAL ~*NSPECTZON FEES. <br />incomplete Whenever an inspection has been requested and the work is found to be <br /> or in need of corrections, there shall be charged a fee in the amount of <br />twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each subsequent reinspection. <br /> <br /> (b) Whenever a special inspection, not a routine inspection of work being <br />done under a permit, is requested, there shall be charged an inspection fee in the <br />amount of twenty-five dollars ($25.00). <br /> <br /> (c) Subsection (a) and (b) hereof shall not be applicable to home owner <br />permits. <br /> <br /> 1309.11 OCCUPANCY PERIqTTS. <br /> For any inspections made for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy, there <br />shall be charged a fee of twenty~five dollars ($25.00) for residential and $50.00 for <br />commercial. <br /> <br /> 1309.12 REFUSAL TO ISSUE PERt4:[T: APPEAL. <br /> The Building Official may deny any applicant a permit who has outstanding <br />violations that have not been correctedas of the date an additional permit is requested, <br />Or if past performance indicates a pattern of noncompliance with an applicablebuilding <br />ordinance. In the event the app ication for a perm t is denied, the applicant shall be <br />not fled of such refusal in writing, and such notice shall be sent by certified maii to the <br />applicant at the address of the applicant, as set forth in the application for a permit. The <br />applicant shall have ten days after receipt of such notice within which to appeal the <br />refusal. Such appeal shall be perfected by filing a written notice of appeal wth the <br />Director of Publi~ Safety. Thereupon the applicant shall have not less than ten days <br />notice of the date and Place of the hear ng. The appeal shall be heard by the Board of <br />13uiiding and Zoning Code Appea S or by the Board of Building Standards if such is <br />existing at the time of the refusal by the Building Official. The Board shall have the <br />power after such hearing to confirm the refusal or order the permit Lo be issued. <br /> <br /> 1309,13 AGGREGATE FLOOR AREA. <br /> For the purposes of this chapter, the aggregate floor area shall be the sum of the <br />gross horizOntal areas at the several floors, including basements, cellars and attics that <br />.a. re at least ~fl:y percent (50%) habitab e All horizontal dimensions shall be taken from <br />the exterior races of walls, ncluding enclosed porches. <br /> <br /> ~309. 14 cost ESTIMATES. <br /> Where the permit is based upon cost of the work done under the permit, such <br />costs shall be the actual cost as certified by the owner or authorized representative of <br />the owner, and as approved by the Building InspeCtor. The Building Inspector may, at <br />any time up to three months after the completion of the work, require the submission of <br />authoritative estimates or actual cost data to substantiate the estimated cost stated in <br />the application, and require the payment of additional fees when it is demonstrated that <br />the actual cost of the work is in excess of the estimated cost upon which permit fees <br />were based. <br /> <br /> <br />
