<br />ORDINANCE NO. 84-04 <br /> <br />BY:Cbrrigan. Demro. Dever. Dunn, ~itzGeraln, <br />M~di~an. Seplip. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 506.06 within Chapter 506, Dangerous <br />and. Vicious Animals, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to <br />comply with previous changes to the chapter. <br /> <br />, ~ <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance is necessary forthe public health, welfare and <br />safety. Now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CfTY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Section 506.06 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood, Alternative Confinement, currently reading as follows: <br /> <br />506.06 ALTERNATIVE CONFINEMENT. <br />fa) In lieu of an animal being impounded, the Animal Control Officer may <br />direct that the animal be confined at the owner's or custodian's expense, either in an <br />approved veterinary facility, at the owner's or custodian's residence or outside the City. <br />In such case, the owner or custodian shall not remove the animal from the veterinary <br />facility or residence or bring the animal into the City without the prior written approval <br />of the Animal Control Officer, and shall make the animal avaiiable for observation and <br />inspection by police officers and health officers of the City, including the Animal <br />Warden. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The Animal Warden may have such impounded or confined animal <br />permanently identified by photo and other identification. <br /> <br />Whoever violafes this section shall be subject to the penalties provided <br />in Section 506.01(b). <br /> <br />shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />506.06 ALTERNATIVE CONFINEMENT. <br />(a) In lieu of an animal being impounded, the Animal Control Officer may direct that <br />the animal be confined at the owner's or custodian's expense, either in an approved <br />veterinary facility, at the owner's or custodian's residence or outside the City.
