<br />PLACED ON 1ST READING & REFERRED TO THE <br />FINANCE COMMITTEE 4/4/05. <br /> <br />~.-, <br /> <br />'....,"'.~=..".,..-:~ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO: 99-04A <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Demro, Dever, <br />Dunn, FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 99-04, adopted December <br />20, 2004 for the pmposeof changing and decreasing contracting anthority for the Mayor <br />(Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of <br />Finance, and/or the Procurement Officer to enter into contracts for professional services, and to <br />advertise for bids and enter into contracts for the purchase of repair maintenance and operating <br />supplies, services and equipment as authorized by the 2005 Appropriation Ordinance and the <br />Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood with the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as <br />otherwise provided by law. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that <br />this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest <br />date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMMENDED <br />CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual <br />daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's ability to provide <br />necessary services in a timely manner, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br />Section 1.
