Section 2. That contracts for supplies, services and equipment in excess of $7,500 and for professional services in excess of $5,000 shall not be awarded except as approved herein or further approved by Resolution of Council. Is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Dkector of Finance, and/ur the Procurement Officer be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts for supplies, services and equipmant with the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law, as follows: Professional services contracts included in ~he 2005 Budget are as follows: I) Law Department Legal Services ........................................... 183,186 Sub-Total ............................................................................................ $919,789 Materials, supplies, and equipment authorized for purchase under the 2005 Budget axe as follows: 19) Fuel Supplies (Gasoline and Diesel) ................... 493,325 27) PrisonerFood Supplies 55,000 44) In-Car Videos 25,000 Sub-Total ................................................................................................ $2,555,383 Total .................................................................................................................. $15,539,740 Section}2. Section 3. It is found and determined that 2dl formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeth~g of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its cormnittees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. Section 4. 2~nis ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two,thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force at'ocr the earliest period allowed by law.
