<br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 99-04E, adopted November
<br />21, 2005 fei' the purpose of changing and increasing contracting authority for the Mayor
<br />(Director of Public Safety); the Director of Publlo Works, the Director of Law~ the Director of
<br />Finance, and/or the Procurement Officer to enter into contracts for professional servieas~ and to
<br />advertise for bids and enter into contracts for the purchase of repair maintenance and operating
<br />supplies, services and equipment as authorized by the 2005 Appropriation Ordinance 'and
<br />Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood with the lowest mid best bidder or bidders or as
<br />otherwise provided by law
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that
<br />this ordinance is ma en~ergency measure, and thht this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest
<br />date possible as set forth in ARTICLE II1; SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMMENDED
<br />CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, end that it is necessary to provide for the usual
<br />dally operation of muincipal departments in that delay could impair the City's ability to provide
<br />necessary services in a timely manner, now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAK~WOOD, STATE OF OHIO
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That Ordinance No. 99-04E, adopted November 21, 2005, currently reading as
<br />follows'
<br />
<br /> Section 1.That the Mayor (Directm- of Publin Safety), the D/rector of Public
<br />Works, the Director of Law, the Dkector of Finance, and/or the Procurement
<br />Officer be and are hereby authorized and dkected to enter into a contract or
<br />contracts for supplies, services and equipment with the lowest and best bidder or
<br />bidders or as otherwise provided by law, as follows:
