<br />AN ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public
<br />Works, the Director o fLaw, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager to enter into
<br />contracts for professional services, and to advertise for bids and enter into contracts for the
<br />purchase of repair maintenance and operating supplies, services and equipment as authorized by
<br />the 2005 Appropriation Ordinance and the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood with
<br />the lowest and best bidder or bidders Or as otherwise provided ,by law
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to provide the authorization to the Mayor (Director 0f Public
<br />Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the
<br />Procurement Officer to enter into contracts for professional services, and to advertise for bids and
<br />enter into contracts for the purchase of repair maintenance and operating supplies, services and
<br />equipment as authorized by the 2005 Appropriation Ordinance and tbe administrative Code of
<br />the City of Lakewood with the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise Provided by law,
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that
<br />this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest
<br />date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMMENDED
<br />CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual
<br />daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's ability to provide
<br />necessary services in a timely manner, now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO
<br />
<br /> Section 1.That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public
<br />Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Procurement
<br />Officer be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or
<br />contracts for supplies, services and equipment with the lowest trod best bidder or
<br />bidders or as otherwise provided by law, as follows:
